In the storybook, pre-training is included.  Research shows that learners who are taught information that is pertinent to learning will increase their retention of the material.  Pre-training was evident by learners being provided with links of various websites that would explain what a webquest is.  The learner would familiarize themselves with the material before the meat of the lesson is introduced.  Another research based theory is to avoid playing music in our e-lessons.  I did not include any in my storyboard.  Prior to learning about these techniques, I would’ve included music and many other distracting visuals.  But, this is exactly what research advices not to do.  It is said that do not retain more if they have the music or distracting pictures in the e-learning experience.
